OLLIO, who was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, began painting on the streets as a teenager in the nineties. He went to art school after several years of just painting graffiti, and he received his MFA in art in 2007. His primary formats are painting and textiles, such as tufted rugs. He has made many exhibitions throughout Sweden and over 1000 murals in various contexts, receiving more than 45 public commissions from different municipalities. Abstract patterns appear frequently in his paintings, often in a variety of shapes and shades. Colours and palettes are very important in his artwork, which is why he frequently focuses on them.
