POMPEI STREET FESTIVAL is a film festival based in Italy, which features the best short films, documentaries from around the world.
All of the selected films are listed on our website. In July the judges have selected the best films in each category that were awarded as Official Finalists of the annual event.

Artistic Director

               Andrea Valentino is an Italian movie director and producer. He received a Master's Degree in Film, Multimedia, and Television Production at the University of Rome 3 in 2010. He has been involved in documentary and fiction cinema for about 11 years, working both in production and as a director. He participated in the production of documentaries produced by the CSC of Palermo, such as Fuorigioco (2014, Assistant Director) and La Compagna Solitudine (2015, Assistant Director and Editing). His latest work as a director is "The usual lunch" (2021), with Enzo Vetrano, Stefano Randisi, Carlo Di Maio and Annalisa Insardà. In 2018 he is the author of the award-winning short film "Bellafronte" (with Antionio Fiorillo and Francesco Paolantoni) in co-direction with Rosario D'Angelo and in collaboration with Damiano Brogna, who signs the screenplay. In 2019 "U chiantu" again a co-direction, this time with Aldo Rapè, to tell the story of the Sicilian mines of the Salso Valley. In 2020, he returns to the documentary in classic form with "'A pastellessa", a narration of the rite linked to the cult of Sant'Antuono. He works as production manager for the short film "The last whiskey with the mad hatter" (2020), directed by Nello Petrucci, the same role as production director for the documentary winner of the RIFF 2020 "The conversion" directed by Giovanni Meola, for this latest work is also a producer. Alongside his film career, he works as a teacher in secondary schools as a teacher of audiovisual languages.

JURY

For the selection of the films, the PSF avails itself of the consolidated experience of experts in the sector. A scientific committee will carefully evaluate the selected films and decree a judgment. The members of the jury are made up of industry insiders.
